CNC Miller Programmer/Operator (4.00pm – 2.00am)

Job Description

  • CNC programmer for the manufacturing engineering team, for the specific process of milling.
  • Working with CNC machines, programming: editing and creating programmes.
    Interpretation of drawings and procedures /specification for different customers for the milling process.
  • OFFLINE PROGRAMMING CNC using off-line programming systems utilizing Delcam, Ezycam, Master-Cam and Lemoine, generating surfaces and cutter paths prior inspection before cutting of steel.
  • Milling process, cutting tools design and measurement.
  • Milling process, fixture design and modifications.
  • Day to day production support in the milling area (problem solving techniques: non-conformances – Root Cause Analysis )

Technical requirements

  • Milling 5 or 3 axis
  • Heidenhain
  • Fanuc – Desirable
  • CAD/CAM SOFTWARE  – Desirable
  • Materials experience: Tool Steels
  • Fixture design experience.
  • Milling tools knowledge. Working with modern toolsproblem solving techniques
  • Fork truck, – Desirable

Tooling Design Engineer (7.30am-4.00pm)

The successful CAD Engineer will be using Vero Visi software to generate 3D models and 2D drawings. They will be working on projects to design tooling for press tools and reverse engineering projects using our GOM scanning system and Geomagic software, Training will be provided on both the scanner and the Geomagic software if required. Supporting the production department with the day to day CAD activities.

Key Tasks

  • Responsible for the on time & accurate delivery of CAD models to meet Tooling Programmes
  • Ability to interpret customer requirements & communicate with the team
    Ability to perform tasks within team, provide guidance, manage hours & provide feedback
  • Develop and maintain outstanding customer satisfaction
  • Processing CAD Data
  • Produce designs that are suitable for cost effective manufacture
  • Responsible for the on time & accurate delivery of CAD models :
  • 2D drawing exploded views/isometric views
  • 3D design
  • Organising CAD data
  • Producing hard copy drawings for supporting manufacturing
  • Issuing CAD data in various formats to both internal and external manufacturing departmets
  • Liaison and working closely with other departments, to deliver parts for on time delivery
  • Liaise/attend meetings with all departments, customers and suppliers as required
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required

Essential Requirements

  • Microsoft i.e. Excel, Outlook & Word
  • Visi Vero design software
  • Experience of press tooling design and manufacturing.
  • Ability to work to instruction and integrate into a successful engineering team
  • Good written & verbal communication skills

Press Tool Toolmaker (7.30am – 4.00pm)

Due to an ever-growing order book, we currently have a vacancy for an experienced skilled Contract toolroom toolmaker to join our highly skilled team. We work closely with our customers in supporting their day to day operations and often respond to customers’ needs at very short notice.

Key Tasks

  • Responsible for the on time & accurate delivery of tools to meet Tooling Programmes
    safely and efficiently carry out preparation and assembly of new press tools up to 20 Tons in weight.
  • Identify and repair/refurbish tools to a high-quality standard.
  • Ability to interpret requirements & communicate with the management team
  • Ability to perform tasks within a team, manage hours
  • Develop and maintain outstanding customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for the on time & accurate management of tools:
    exceed our customer expectations of quality Liaison and working closely with other departments, to deliver tools on time delivery
  • Liaise/attend meetings with all departments, customers and suppliers as required
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as required

Essential Requirements

  • Hard-working time served Toolmaker in a high-pressure environment.
  • Worked within a contract toolroom
  • Experience of press tooling manufacturing.
  • Work independently on press tools from initial design review to planning and tool buy off at customers premises.
  • Ability to work to instruction and integrate into a successful engineering team
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Problem solving
  • Flexibility to work overtime at short notice when required.
  • Self-time manage which includes completing time sheets accurately on a daily basis.

Desirable Requirements

  • To keep all work areas clean and tidy to ensure correct presentation and safety of employees.
    Required experience:
  • Contract Press Tool Manufacturing Experience.

Mould Tool Toolmaker (7.30am – 4.00pm)

Due to an ever-growing order book, we currently have a vacancy for an experienced skilled Contract toolroom toolmaker to join our highly skilled team. We work closely with our customers in supporting their day to day operations and often respond to customers’ needs at very short notice.

  • Responsible for the on time & accurate delivery of tools to meet Tooling Programmes
    safely and efficiently carry out Manufacture preparation and assembly of new tools.
